GSIS Staff
The typical GSIS staff member is a Bangladeshi mid way through a full-time teaching career, although the school is flexible enough to include both foreign and part-time teachers. The school provides regular staff training for its staff and although we prefer more experienced staff, we also welcome applications from newly qualified teachers. Any teachers with a passion to educate are welcome to apply for an appointment at GSIS. As we are seeking to strengthen the international character of the school, we particularly welcome non-Bangladeshis and those with experience of international schools, whether as staff or students. GSIS Students
GSIS started 2022 with 104 students, of whom about 60% are boarders from rural Bangladesh, 36% are non-resident students from the local area, and slightly over 4% are Korean. Students are in their native tongue as well as one or sometimes two other languages. The school offers an attractive and safe environment. As well as the academic block, the other main building within our compound is the residential block. We provide discipline and security while the small home rooms provide a friendly and nurturing atmosphere designed to help life long friendships to blossom.
